If we got a dollar at Capitol Glass for each time someone has walked into our waiting room and said “I really wasn’t planning on replacing my windshield today!”, we’d probably be able to cash out, close our doors for good, and retire. We’ve been in business since 1950, and have been more successful as a company than we ever imagined. But we love what we do, and we love taking care of our customers. We’re going to go ahead and stay in business.
Even before the current Covid pandemic, the days of the brick and mortar retailer have been slowing to a crawl. People prefer the ease and convenience of online shopping to the hassle of running around visiting a bunch of stores, dealing with traffic and parking, and standing in long lines. But there are still a lot of things that they haven’t figured out how to do exclusively online. Car and truck windshield replacement still requires customers to visit an auto glass repair shop, or call for mobile service.
