When Capitol Glass opened for business in 1950, the vehicles we serviced didn't include all the safety features that we currently take for granted. In fact, shoulder seat belts weren't even standard equipment in most cars until they were federally mandated in 1968! But those days are long gone, and today's vehicles are now safer than they've ever been. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are now standard in many modern vehicles, and we're proud to be one of the few independent auto glass repair shops in Arkansas to offer calibration services!
ADAS utilizes a network of sensors and cameras to provide visual, audio, or tactile alerts whenever you drift out of your lane, fail to signal, or follow another vehicle too closely. Some ADAS systems can even automatically parallel park your vehicle! For these systems to work correctly, your sensors must be recalibrated to their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications at least once each year, or whenever your vehicle is involved in a collision. ADAS calibration will one day be as commonplace as getting your oil changed and your tires rotated, but it's currently only offered at dealerships and select service centers. You never need an appointment for recalibration, which can usually be completed in less than an hour. We'll also send you automatic reminders when you're due for your next service.
But it doesn't stop there! We're a full-service auto glass repair shop, and our services include on-site windshield replacement, sunroof and side window repair, and side mirror replacement. There's no such thing as cosmetic windshield damage, and the longer you wait to get chips and cracks repaired, the more expensive your repairs can get. We can restore most damaged windshields to like-new condition while you wait, and we're always happy to work with your insurance company to minimize your out-of-pocket costs. And if your windshield damage is too severe for you to safely visit our shop, our mobile repair truck can also service your vehicle at your home, workplace, or even the side of the road!
